1. Charles Augustin Coulomb(1736-1806)
Charles Augustin Coulomb was born in Angoulême which is city of France, in 1736. His father’s name is Henry Coulomb and his mother’s name is Catherine Bajet. Henry Coulomb was travelling to different countries because he was inspector king areas. Coulomb and his family moved to Paris because of his father situation. Coulomb was educated at “Collage des Quatre Nations”, famous about math education. İn the later years Charles Augustin Coulomb worked on mathematics and physics. He worked on astronomy and geometry and wrote articles.

Charles Augustin Coulomb chose to be soldier from variety of professions. After military training he was first lieutenant. His duty stations were Brest, Fort-Royale, Bouchain, Cherbourg, Basençon, Roc-herot, Paris. His first duty station was Brest. He worked on strengthen defense system in Fort-Royale,capital of Martinik and He was given the rank of colonel due to his success. After Fort-Royale his next duty station was Bouchain. He worked on building structure, resistance of materials etc. He prepair report about building structure, resistance of materials etc. He started to work on Physics in Cherbourg. He worked on magnetic characteristics, torsional, torsional balance, friction, flow resistance, electrical theory and magnetism theory in Cherbourg. He prepair reports about the best method of making the magnetic compass needle. He worked on underwater hydraulic systems in Basençon. He took task to make Roc-Herot Castle. He worked on simple machine systems. The friction case of simple machine systems brought to standart conditions. He create empirical formula about friction case. Charles Augustin Coulomb died in 1806 due to febrile illness.
Charles Augustin Coulomb took part in military and administrative tasks. He worked on mechanical, electrical, and magnetism. He define the force between two charged particles. The force between two charged particles is describing the electrostatic interaction between electrically charged articles. The magnitude of the electrostatic force of interaction between two point cahrges is directly proportional to the scalar multiplication of the magnitudes of charges and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them. The force is along the straight line joining them. If the two charges have the same sign, the electrostatic force between them is repulsive; if they have different sign, the force between them is attractive. However he couldn’t find the relation between the electric charge and magnetism. İmportant work was done in the name of electricity and magnetism by Charles Augustine Coulomb and his articles has been source of inpiration for scientist.
